Atlanta 10 Miler and 5K
The Atlanta 10 Miler and 5K is quickly becoming one of Atlanta's favorite running events. The race features an exciting course that starts and finishes inside Atlantic Station. The Atlanta 10 Milers is the featured second stop for Triple Peach participants, taking place after the AJC Peachtree Road Race and is a great final tune-up for the Atlanta Half Marathon on Thanksgiving Day. Serious runners arrive ready to tackle ten miles, but if you aren’t quite ready for the 10 Miler, come out and join runners in the 5K race, there truly is something for everyone!
Run on your own, or get a group of friends together and run as a team, just get out there and run. The Atlanta 10 Miler and 5K is the perfect race for runners of all abilities!
Did you know that this race is part of a series of runs? If you like this race you may want to run one of the following Atlanta Track Club Grand Prix Series events.
Both course routes for the Atlanta 10 Miler and 5K begin in Atlanta's Atlantic Station. Runners in the 5K race will start out running on State Street before making a right turn onto 20th Street. Another right turn sends runners down 16th Street NW before heading up Northside Drive SW to 17th Street NW to the finish line.
Runners taking on the 10 Miler course follow a similar route that the 5K runners do at the start of the race. Instead of taking 17th Street NW however, 10 Miler runners will branch off onto Bishop Street NW to run through the city. Roughly half way between miles 6 and 7, runners will find themselves heading down Peachtree Road NE for the "Cardiac Hill Challenge." At this spot, runners will be challenging themselves by running up a hill. This stretch adds some difficulty to the course, but afterwards, runners will continue on Peachtree Road while heading to the finish line.
