Race Information

Join The Diabetes Association of Atlanta, Inc. (DAA) and run in its Annual Downtown Dash for Diabetes 5K Run/Walk. In The Downtown Dash for Diabetes, runners support the Medical Assistance Program of DAA, which provides diabetes medication, medical supplies and education to the under served and uninsured persons living in the Metro Atlanta area. Runners, and their families, can look forward to the Tot-Trot for ages 4-6, Diabetes Education Activities, Moon Walk, Live DJ and more! Even if you're the only one running, feel free to have friends and family be "phantom dashers," by having them simply donate a gift or collect pledges.

Course Information

The Downtown Dash for Diabetes starts in Hurt Park. At the start of the race, runners head out and move through downtown Atlanta. Runners then will have the opportunity to run past Georgia State University, the Georgia State Capital and through Historic Oakland Cemetery, before returning by heading back down Piedmont and finishing on Gilmer Street.
