Kaiser Permanente Corporate 5K
Produced by United States Olympian and running expert Jeff Galloway, the Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk and Fitness Program is a unique workplace-organized fitness promotion that kicks off with Get Active Atlanta!, a free 8-week training program, and culminates in a downtown Corporate 5K Run/Walk and Company Picnic. The Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk and Fitness Program is designed to promote health, wellness and fitness among metro Atlanta companies and their employees. A portion of proceeds benefits the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Back on My Feet and the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
All it takes is one person to sign up as a team captain. From there, runners can join the team at will. Teams are encouraged to train together and run together on race day.
The run and walk will take place at Turner Field, starting and finishing at the Olympic Rings on Hank Aaron Drive. The course is generally pretty hilly and runners are encourage to prepare also for warm weather. After the race, runners are encouraged to stay behind for the post-race festivities.
