Strong Legs Run
The Strong Legs Run has developed into a community institution in the city of Atlanta. For over thirty years runners have taken to the Strong Legs Run to show support for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. With two different distances you will need strong legs to carry you through the finish line. The day stars with open registration before the 10K race begins. After the 10K runners have had time to build some distance, the 5K runners will take to the course as well. With the serious runners on the course, the rest of the family can enjoy a Mascot race, as well as a 2K Fun Run (strollers welcome!) before the race ends.
Both the 10K and 5K races will start, and finish, at Turner Field. From the starting line, both races will head up Piedmont Avenue. Runners in the 5K race will make a left on Auburn Avenue and head back down Piedmont towards the finish line. Runners in the 10K differ, making a right turn on Auburn Ave to head further north, before turning around and taking Cortland Street back to Piedmont, and the finish line.
