Undy 5000 5K
Grab your favorite pair of festive undies and get ready to join in on the fun at The Undy Run and Walk! The Undy run is a family-friendly event that was created by the Colon Cancer Alliance to support those battling colon cancer. The Undy Run is unique because participants are encouraged to run in their boxers to bring attention to the area affected by colon cancer. The race is a timed 5K, with awards for the top finishers. Every runner gets a t-shirt, as well as a special pair of boxers!
The Undy Run always turn heads and gets people talking, which is good! The more people that talk about colon cancer, the more awareness is raised, which saves lives!
The Undy 5000 5K is run in Atlanta's John Howell Memorial Park. The park itself spans 2.8 acres and is widely regarded as one of Atlanta's most beautiful parks. Running through the park, participants will be able to take in the sights and sounds of nature. Runners will head past wrought iron sculptures as well as eleven granite columns. If runners look down (but don't look too long) they will notice commemorative bricks with the names of those who have made contributions to keep the park looking pristine for all visitors.
