The Statesman Capitol 10,000 is the largest 10K race in Texas and one of the top 10 in the nation. The race starts at the Ann Richards Bridge, which crosses over Lady Bird Lake (part of the Colorado River) and runs up to and by the Texas State Capitol Building. Bands playing live music line the race course, energizing the runners with upbeat entertainment as they wind their way along this scenic and at times, hilly, race route finishing back at Auditorium Shores on Lady Bird Lake. The course is USATF certified.
