Father's Day Road Race and Family Fun Walk
Start Father’s Day off on the right foot by participating in the Children's Museum’s Annual Road Race or Fun Walk. Whether you walk or run, you’ll enjoy the gently looping course that begins on Main Street and winds through the tree-lined streets of historic North Easton Village, past H.H. Richardson buildings and F.L. Olmsted landscapes. The picturesque course is mostly flat, with a few rolling hills.
This event is the hallmark FUNdraising event of the year for the Children's Museum in Easton. In 2016 it will celebrate its 22nd year. More than 1,200 runners, walkers, cheering family and friends enjoy the race, the gathering of friends and neighbors from around the community and the after-race gathering with food, refreshments and awards.
The race course is mostly flat with some gentle uphill and downhill terrain;p all on town streets and roads, and in several places, through historic estates that are part of the town's history and culture. Runner safety is a strong element of our race, so police presence, volunteer course directors and plenty of signage ensure that the runners have a great time. As well, unlike some races, our event does welcome baby-stroller runners; however, they begin as a separate starting field to ensure the safety of all runners.
