The Kananaskis 100 mile relay (or K-100) is a 100 mile relay run from the village of Longview to Nakiska, the site of the alpine events at the '88 Olympics. The entire event is broken down into 10 legs which range in distance, and in difficulty. Teams assign one runner to each leg and fly at the course wtih reckless abandon!
Due to logistics there is a 180 team limit on this event, and there are often more than 180 applicants. A lottery system is used to determine which teams will get to run, however, teams can guarantee their spot with a donatin to HI-Canada Pacific Mountain Region (the beneficiary of the race).
