Race Information

The Chicago Women's Half Marathon and 5k is a very cool race that prides itself on featuring a very unique piece of course that is note currently featured in any other local runs... the Magnificent Mile!

For those runners not from Chicago, the Magnificent Mile is one of Chicago's most prestigioius roadways; a section of Michigan street lined with high end real estate, and extra wide roadways. This part of the city gets chut down for the Women's race, giving participants a once a year experience to go out and tackle a thoroughfare that is normally off the list for runners.

The Women's Half does feature a 5k option for those who don't want to go a full 13 miles, and it features a relatively fast and flat course with no major hills to be aware of.

Top Tips for this Event

Know your expected finish time and position yourself in the right wave, it will help you have the best possible race experience!
This event does have pacers running even splits through the entire race.
This is a popular event, plan your race day parking and arrival well in advance so that you're not rushing around the morning of.

Course Information

Both the half marathon and 5k courses start and finish in Grant Park. Expect a mostly flat, and very scenic course along the waterfront, and of course, back up Michigan Avenue.
