The BMW Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and five-person Behringer Relay is a fun and memorable city race, with a racecourse that highlights iconic Dallas landmarks and features hundreds of thousands of spectators cheering on participants in Dallas' largest annual single-day sporting event.
The race, which is Texas' oldest marathon, attracts runners from every state and across the globe each December. Race proceeds are donated to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
The race starts in downtown Dallas on Young St. at Griffin, facaing eastbound. Participants in the Marathon and Half Marathon run together for the first 9.5 miles. Marathoners break off and run through Lakewood to "Dolly Parton Hill", then proceed to tour the west side of White Rock Lake. They return via the Santa Fe Trail and merge with the half marathon course for the final segment of the race.
