Hottest Half and 10K
The Hottest Half & 10k invites participants to the quintisenntial Texas summer running experience: A long run in the heat! The event starts and finishes at the Community Beer Company Brewery and runs around the Trinity Trails. Yes, there will be water at every mile as runners celebrate the Texas summer.
The course is mostly flat with a few small hills. The start and finish is on Inspiration Dr. near Slocum St. and is run mostly on the Trinity Bike Trail. After the start, runners head down Slocum to the Continental Ave. Bridge to access the Trinity Bike Trail. The Half Marathon course bobs up and down the Trinity Bike Trail like a sewing needle. Runners enter the Trinity trail at about the 1.5 mile mark, and head northerly to the 3 mile mark then turn southerly for a stretch and hit a U-turn at about 5.5 miles. Then it's back north to just past 9 miles for another U-Turn to head back to the Continental Ave Bridge. Runners return to the bridge around the 12 mile mark and head back to the finish.
The 10K course starts at the same location and is an out-and-back course along the Trinity Bike Trail.
