That Dam Half
Enjoy fall in Texas with this unique half marathon & 5K through Lake Park and across the historic Lewisville Lake Dam. Usually closed to the public, the Dam is available just for this race, as half marathoners run the out-and-back course crossing the dam in both directions. Participants enjoy a vista of the lake on one side, and the park on the other. Join us for this scenic run at the best time of the year for running in Texas.
Did you know that this race is part of a series of runs? If you like this race you may want to run one of the following Run Project - Dallas events.
The event is staged at Lake Park in Lewisville, TX. Both races start and finish on Catfish Drive in Lake Park. Half marathoners will run an out-and-back course across the dam. Runners hit the levee just before mile 2 after a tour of Lake Park. The finish mirrors the start, with runners retracing their steps through Lake Park to the finish. The only variation on the out-and-back course is a short run down Mill heading south during mile 2 to a turnaround before heading back to access the dam. Upon returning from the dam, runners turn right on Mill heading north to go directly back to Lake Park.
The course certified by USA Track & Field.
Participants in the 5K run on the trails in the park.
