Course Information

5k Course Description:

5K Athletes will leave the marina lot and turn right onto the main park road (running with traffic as required by Park Management), to begin a clockwise loop. After just under 1 1/4 miles, athletes will turn right and run a short section before turning left onto Bear Creek Trail. After completing a dogleg, athletes will continue on the trail until they once again reach the main park road. Returning the way they came to the finish line and the cheers of friends and family, 5K athletes will have access to water at one aid station twice along the way, at or near 1.25 and 2.25 miles. NOTE: Due to the park’s requirement that athletes run WITH traffic on the road portions of the course, we will be coning off a shoulder for your safety. Please be sure to stay as close to the shoulder / away from auto traffic as possible at all times, OUTSIDE THE CONES.

10k Course Description:

10K Athletes will leave the marina lot and turn right onto the main park road (running with traffic as required by Park Management), then turn right onto Bear Creek Trail to begin a counterclockwise loop. After about 2 1/2 miles, athletes will complete a short dogleg then continue toward Fisherman’s Trail and the reservoir dam. After a left turn onto Kumpfmiller Dr and about 2 miles, athletes will pass the park entrance and continue on the main park road to complete the loop and finish to the cheers of the crowd. Four aid stations will be available for hydration at about the 1, 2.5, 3.6 & 5 mile marks. NOTE: Due to the park’s requirement that athletes run WITH traffic on the road portions of the course, we will be coning off a shoulder for your safety. Please be sure to stay as close to the shoulder / away from auto traffic as possible at all times, OUTSIDE THE CONES.

Half-marathon Course Description:

Half Athletes will leave the marina lot and turn right onto the main park road (running with traffic as required by Park Management), then turn right onto Bear Creek Trail. After about 2 1/2 miles, athletes will begin a 3.5 mile dogleg (7 mi round trip) then rejoin the 10K loop. Continuing toward Fisherman’s Trail and across the dam, then left onto Kumpfmiller Dr and past the park entrance, athletes will have had access to 9 aid stations, spaced about 1 – 1.5 miles apart as they finish to the cheers of the crowd. NOTE: Due to the park’s requirement that athletes run WITH traffic on the road portions of the course, we will be coning off a shoulder for your safety. Please be sure to stay as close to the shoulder / away from auto traffic as possible at all times, OUTSIDE THE CONES.
