Race Information

The annual Summer Breeze one mile, 5k, 10k and half-marathon is held at the Stenger Soccer Complex in Arvada, CO. The 5K, 10K and Half Marathon courses follow the Van Bibber Creek Trail, heading west through Arvada’s open spaces with spectacular views of Table Mountain and the surrounding countryside. All course distances have a fairly level grade, so runners of every experience level can run their best race to date.

All runners can expect a great race as well as:

  • Post-race meal with fruit, bagels, brakfast burritos, chocolate milk and more
  • Sweet package for all runners with custom race bibs, rally towels and free race pics
  • Tech shirts for all registered runners, no cotton
  • Your own finisher medal

 

Course Information

5K athletes will leave the Stenger parking lot toward the south to join up with Van Bibber Creek Trail. Making a right hand / westbound turn, athletes will run approximately 1.3 miles before reaching the first turnaround on this double out & back course. Athletes will return the way they came, passing the northbound path to complete another short dogleg, then turn around again and head for the finish line.

10K athletes will leave the Stenger parking lot toward the south to join up with Van Bibber Creek Trail. Making a right hand / westbound turn, athletes will run approximately 2.5 miles before a left-hand turn onto Indiana. After just over 1/4 mile on the east shoulder, athletes will reach the first turnaround on this double out & back course. Returning the way they came, athletes will pass the northbound path to complete another short dogleg, then turn around again and head for the finish line.

Half Marathon athletes will leave the Stenger parking lot toward the south to join up with Van Bibber Creek Trail. Making a right hand / westbound turn, athletes will run approximately 2.5 miles before a left-hand turn onto Indiana, then a left onto W 52nd Ave and a left onto Howell St. After fewer than 100’ on Howell (included to reach an accurate 13.1 miles) athletes will reach the first turnaround on this double out & back, two lap course. Returning the way they came, athletes will continue past the northbound path to complete a short dogleg, turn around again, then head out for a second lap. Upon completion of the dogleg for the second time, athletes will head for the finish line.
