Get ready to race the ultimate urban tour and celebrate running Denver’s springtime race, the Colfax Marathon. The Colfax Marathon takes runners on a one of a kind tour of downtown Denver. Runners can expect run through Denver's Mile High Stadium, through Denver Fire Station #1, along 7 miles of rivers, lakes and bridges, all with majestic views of the Rocky Mountains. Get ready to challenge yourself as the entire race, all 26.2 miles, takes place at 5,280 feet elevation. It won't be easy, but no one can say you didn't earn it! All runners receive numerous perks, including finisher medals and mini-medallions, free runner tracking and on-course photos and a Bar-B-Q Afterparty complete with beer garden. A Boston Marathon qualifier, the Colfax Marathon should be on the bucket list for every runner!
The Colfax Marathon starts and finishes in Denver’s City Park. Runners will head west through Colfax past the town's pubs, restaurants and shops before running through Denver Fire Station #1 (cheered on by the firefighters of course!) and Denver’s Mile High Stadium, home of the Denver Broncos. Runners also run along seven miles of rivers, lakes and bridges - including Sloan's Lake. Continuing to race through eclectic neighborhoods, historic Lakewood, the bustle of Colfax Avenue, and downtown Denver runners return to City Park for the grand finale at beautiful Ferril Lake!
