Move Forward 5k/10k
The Move Forward 5K and 10K is back and is open to experienced runners, casual walkers, and families. The race was originally created as a community outreach service project and quickly grew from there. The race raises needed funds for the Foundation for Physical Therapy and Canine Companions for Independence. The Move Forward 5K and 10K only continues to grow and is recognized as an annual Denver event to raise awareness of the role of physical therapists in health promotion and wellness, while encouraging the local community to increase their exercise and physical activities.
So gather your friends and family and get ready to run for a great cause. Race day kicks off with registration and packet pick up before the actual running begins. The 10K runners will take off first, around 9am, with the 5K group following shortly after. Food and entertainment follows immediately after the race so everyone can take some time to relax.
The course for the Move Forward 5K and 10K is a mostly flat and scenic route, so expect to set some personal bests. The race begins on the beatuiful Regis University campus. Runners will have the option of running on their own, or with a pace group, entirely up to the runner! The course includes both road and trail sections through the campus and surrounding areas, so extra care is advised when the course transitions. The finsh line for both races is right back at Regis University where to post race activities begin in earnest.
