Turkey Chase 5k
Hosted by the Denver Rescue Mission, the Turkey Chase 5K is the best way for runners to work up an appetite before the big feast. Held annually on Thanksgiving Day, runners come to break a sweat while supporting a good cause.
The proceeds from the Turkey Chase 5K benefit programs that the Denver Rescue Mission puts on in the greater Denver metro area and Northern Colorado. The Denver Rescue Mission helps those in need, men, women and children, to get back on their feet while growing spiritually, healing emotionally and becoming self-sufficient, productive members of the community.
Runners will gather at the Apex Field House in Arvada for the start of the race. The course follows the Van Bibber Creek Trail. Runners enjoy spending the morning in one of Arvada's most delightful parks with a backdrop of the great Rocky Mountains and picturesque views that can only be found in Jefferson County. Being held in late November, chances are that the temperature will be cold and there may even be snow! Runners are encouraged to dress for the weather and always exercise caution on the race course.
