Race Information

Houston's original Thanksgiving Day run, the Turkey Trot is held in the beautiful Sugar Creek subdivision, about 20 miles from downtown Houston. This bib-tag-timed race with splits called out every mile is run over a USATF certified loop course.

The morning kicks off with a mile run for the under-12's, followed by the five mile. Next up is the 2.5 mile walk/jog.

Not only do you need to work up an appetite for the feast you know is coming, but race organizers call this a PR course! Participants are asked to bring canned goods, warm clothing, and running shoes for East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry.
