This favorite Memorial Day running event takes place in the beautiful Orange County cities of Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Woods, and Laguna Niguel. Runners and walkers of all experience levels are invited to come out and enjoy the Memorial Day festivities! With a half marathon (13.1 miles), 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles), 10K Run/Walk (6.2 miles) and a Kid's Run (1/2 Mile), there is something for everyone!

The Village Runner Independence Day 5K is an annual community classic that happens on the 4th of July in Redondo Beach.
Runners can expect chip timing, age division awards, cash prizes to the top three overall male and female runners in the 5K run, and a pretty great pre-race costume contest!
We like that the course is an out and back (you can try and spot your friends). We also like that a portion of all registration fees directly benefit the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation and other local schools.
