Located north of L.A. at the California State Park by Valencia, this race is an awesome experience! Choose from a 10 kilometer, half marathon, or 50k ultra distance. Experience a trail course that takes you up to the peaks and along the ridgelines with panoramic views, then into the canyons through the hills of Valencia for a breathtaking trail challenge!

The Village Runner Independence Day 5K is an annual community classic that happens on the 4th of July in Redondo Beach.
Runners can expect chip timing, age division awards, cash prizes to the top three overall male and female runners in the 5K run, and a pretty great pre-race costume contest!
We like that the course is an out and back (you can try and spot your friends). We also like that a portion of all registration fees directly benefit the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation and other local schools.
