Did you know that this race is part of a series of runs? If you like this race you may want to run one of the following Badgerland Striders Series events.
All three of the Ice Age runs take runners through scenic, historic and geologically fascinating areas. Participants run in dense deciduous forests, across open prairies, under tall pines and over rocky ridges, all the while seeing lakes, kettles, kames, erratics and other natural features left when the glaciers finally retreated from Wisconsin more than 10,000 years ago.
The route passes by sites that provide a glimpse into the lives of the area’s first settlers, including a climb up Bald Bluff, a place revered by Native Americans and the location of the Black Hawk War, the last major Indian war in Wisconsin.
