Victory Labor Day 10K and 5K
The Victory Labor Day 10K and 5K has something for the entire family. The race day starts off with "Minnesota's Fastest 10K," which features some of Minnesota's elite runners competing for points in the MDRA Grand Prix series. With over 700 runners, this is one of the most popular, and competitive, 10K races in Minnesota.
Following the 10K, the competition turns down some for the 5K race. The 5K races is perfect for runners looking to reach their personal best, but is also perfect for joggers and walkers looking to take on the race at a more leisurely pace. After the 5K there is a Half Mile Victory Lap exclusively for kids.
For the truly bold, there is an option to do the double. Signing up for the double allows runners to compete in both the 10K and 5K races. It's not for the faint of heart, but for those ready to challenge themselves.
Both the 10K and 5K races have courses are flat, straight and fast! The 5K course is flat asphalt and is an out and back course. Runners in the 10K start on Webber Parkway near Colfax. They then proceed west on Victory Memorial Drive to the flagpole. The course then turns directly south to Lowry to the halfway point turn-around and runners return on the same route, finishing on Webber Parkway near Bryant Ave. The courses are USATF certified.
