Sports 4 Emilie's Run
Since its inception, Émilie's Run has been draw for Canada and the world’s elite female runners. Each year this race encourages women to "lead a race, set the pace, and be the overall race winners." This race attracts female runners from all over the world, but you need not be a star athlete to participate. It's a fun and easy opportunity to try running your own 5k.
The race is named in memory of Émilie Mondor, the first Canadian woman to run 5k under fifteen minutes. Émilie was an Ottawa resident and a member of Team Canada in the 2004 Olympics in Greece.
