Race Information
Thrasher is part of the Insomniac Night Trail Run Series. Runners experience the beauty of Cave Creek Regional Park on an array of chip-timed fun and fast courses at the Thrasher Night Runs and “Carpe Noctem” to “seize the night!”
The race features rolling desert trails on a single track with fast smooth sections and challenging mountainous sections. The 11-kilometer loop features the Slate, Quartz, Go John, and Overton Trails. The 33K runners will complete 3 loops, and the 22K runners make two loops, with each passing through the start/finish line after each lap! The race also features branded race goodies for all entrants, well-stocked aid stations, an iced coffee bar, and post-race food and socializing.

The La Jolla Half Marathon and 5K, happening on May 18, 2024, are some of San Diego California’s most picturesque running races.
Why do we like these runs? Here are a few reasons!
From start to finish these races offer runners a chance to experience the coast like never before. You get miles of sun-drenched coast, an inviting ocean, and perfect weather pretty much anytime of the year. Expect gorgeous views from Del Mar to the La Jolla Shores.
Get ready to soak up breathtaking views of waves crashing on the shoreline, surfers in the water, and thousands of inspired runners on the road. In our humble opinion, this is one of the best half marathon and 5K races in California.
