Hippie Chick Half Marathon
The Hippie Chick Half and Quarter Marathon is an all women's event usually held around Mother's Day weekend. It's an extremely popular race, starting and finishing at the Hillsboro Ballpark that regulalry draws fields of 2,000+ runners. As the title states runners can opt to take on a complete 13.1 mile half marathon course, or opt to test themselves with an out and back quarter marathon (6.55 mile) route.
The race is put on by the veteran Hood to Coast team, meaning that racers can expect a scenic countryside course, a great vibe, and well put together post race area. Oh, and in case you were wondering, yes, throwing in some "hippie chick" into your race day outfit is strongly encouraged.
At the end of the event, you'll be rewarded with a finisher's necklace, live music, mimosas and more!

The Hippie Chick courses both follow similar routes. The quarter marathon is an out and back which starts and finishes at the Hillsboro Ballpark. The half marathon route heads west and then follows a brief loops south before rejoining the original out portion of the course.
There are short secitons of the course that feature small hills but nothing too crazy. Expect some fantastic countryside scenery, and a road course that will be virtually completely clear of any traffic.
