Race Information

The Mount Hood 50 miler takes runners on a journey through the Pacific Crest Trail in the shadow of Mount Hood. This event covers a variety of terrain, letting participants experience some classic Northwest forest/sub-apline terrain.

The race is part of the Northwest Mountain Trail series, as well as the Oregon Trail Series.

There is also a 50k option for July 9th. For more details about the 50k course, visit the official website.

Course Information

The 50 mile course stays in tree cover for most of the day, and clocks in with an elevation gain of around 5,600 feet. Runners can expect some technical terrain, but nothing too crazy as things are contained on a maintained trail.

The course starts by running North from the Clackamas Ranger Station to the Frog Lake Aid Station, just before Highway 26. They will then return to the start/finish and head South to the Warm Springs Meadows Aid Station, where they will turn around and head back to the finish.
