Pints to Pasta
Pints to Pasta is an award winning Portland 10k run (and new for 2015, a half marathon). Participants get to follow a downhill course through the city to the Widmer Brothers Brewery, then across the Willamette River, finishing at the Old Spaghetti Factory where runners get to enjoy free post race pasta meals along with their finishers beer.
The Pints to Pasta 10k has a history of working with local groups and actively donates a portion of its proceeds to the Boys and Girls Club of Portland.
Pints to Pasta Course Info
The run starts in North Portland on NW Greeley Avenue. Runners follow a route that takes them through the Albina area of town and past the Widmer Brothers brewery. Things then veer towards downtown heading south on Naito Parkway and finishing at the Old Spaghetti Factory.
Participants can park their vehicles near the Old Spaghetti Factory (race finish), and ride the $5 shuttle to the race start. Shuttles begin to leave at 6:30am with the last shuttle at 7:30am. We recommend trying to catch an early shuttle to avoid any pre-race "am I going to get there on time" anxiety
Runners in this event get a ton of fantastic perks (no wonder that the race is so popular!). Every participant receives a finisher medal and race shirt. Runners also get a post race pasta meal at the Old Spaghetti Factory (along with bread and salad), and get to treat themselves to a beer from Widmer. In addition there's always great live music, various sponsor giveaways, and awards to the top finishers.
