Race Information
Join 2000 animal lovers, 1000 dogs... and 1 mini-horse! We all come together every year to raise funds for the 8000 dogs and cats served by the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. They make it all happen - they care about the dogs and cats in our community and they really know how to show it.
Choose from a 5k or a 3-mile walk along the Columbia River.
Run Pick of the Month - Astoria Run on the River
Get a unique locally made, stamped glass finisher medal on May 11, 2024.
Run on the River is Astoria's premier half marathon, 10k, and 5k. You can expect for take in beautiful views of the Columbia River on the fast, and flat course along the Astoria river walk.
Couple more things that we think make this run worth checking out; all finishers earn a hand blown glass medal from Fern Hill Glass Studio, and, the race finishes up at the Buoy Beer lager festival (craft beer and food carts!).
