BYU Cougar Run 5K
A 5K road race has been a part of BYU Homecoming for more than 30 years. In 2003, the BYU Track and Field program assumed responsibility for the race, and it became the Cougar Run. The Cougar Run is held at the Clarence Robison Track and Field Complex on Canyon Road south of Lavell Edwards Stadium.
The Cougar Run 5K starts at the Robison Track and Field Complex. The runners travel East on University Parkway to 900 East, where they turn south and follow the Homecoming Parade route. This takes the runners past parade spectators on 900 East, 820 North, 800 North, and 150 East. The race concludes with a lap around the BYU track. Only runners visibly wearing their official Cougar Run bib number will be allowed to enter the track complex during the race.
