GoodLife Toronto Marathon
Toronto’s premier spring marathon attracts runners from all over the world looking for a fast, mostly downhill course and a winding tour of some the city’s best sights. From the starting line at Mel Lastman Square in North York to the finish in front of Ontario Place, the race offers plenty of scenic views and a well-marked course.
The Goodlife Toronto Marathon has recently been offering 5k, 10k, half marathon, marathon, and marathon relay distance options to runners. w00t! The race shirts are nice, but the marathon medal might be the best you’ll ever see: huge, heavy and proud!
Both the half and full marathon start in North York, head south down Yonge Street, detour along Rosedale Valley Rd to Bayview, re-enter the downtown core and then head to the waterfront and the finish line. The full marathon then keeps moving along the waterfront for a long out-and-back section. There's also a 5k on offer that starts and finishes at Ontario Place and runs along Lake Shore Blvd.
