This family-focused 5k run/walk and 1k walk takes place in downtown Toronto with funds raised going right back into the community--all proceeds support programs for seniors and long-term care. Although the field is small (you'll only rub elbows with about 500 other runners), the event is timed and often draws quite a few competitive faces. There are age category awards for a wide range of ages, from under 10 to 70 plus.
Whether you're a serious runner, spending time with your family, or simply enjoy physical activity, you can take part in a timed 5k run, 5k walk or 1k walk through downtown Toronto. As a participant, you will receive a t-shirt, a chance to win prizes and be invited to the post-race ceremony in David Pecaut Square.
The race starts on Wellington, moves north on University Avenue, east on Grosvenor, south on Bay and finally west on Wellington to the finish. The post-race ceremony takes place in nearby David Pecaut Square.
