Granville Island Turkey Trot 10k
The Turkey Trot is not your average run, but instead an experience. With great food, a family friendly course and wonderful volunteers, the Turkey Trot is a run to remember for the ages.
As an example, post-race food is not just bananas, water and oranges like most other races; instead there is gourmet food for runners to enjoy at the finish line. Post-race festivities include a rockin' band at the end.
The Granville Island Turkey Trot has also added a Kids Fun Run in addition to its traditional 10k race!
The 10k will take place on Thanksgiving Day, and the kids' fun run and walk will take place the day before.
Make this fun, family friendly 10km run, walk or stroll part of your Thanksgiving tradition and celebrate by:
- Spending time with family
- Supporting the food bank
- Burning off all that yummy, rich turkey dinner with a 10km, walk or stroll run around the seawall
The 10k race has a cap of 2,000 runners and the Kids Fun Run has a cap of 200. This race usually SELLS OUT, so be sure to register today!
Did you know that this race is part of a series of runs? If you like this race you may want to run one of the following RunVan events.
This scenic and flat 10KM course starts at Granville Island and loops over Burrard Bridge to the north side Seawall before turning at Science World to head back along the south side Sea Wall to Performance Works on Granville Island. Runners will finish on the boardwalk and will enjoy a post run meal inside the Performance Works.
