Bear Mountain 10K
The 10k course has earned the notoriety as “Canada’s Most Challenging 10k” because of three distinct hills on the course, which have been named Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear, as well as the many rolling hills throughout the rest of the run. Participants will also run across bridges, past a waterfall and at one point go through a 30m long tunnel before finishing next to the fountain in front of the Westin Bear Mountain.
The Half-Marathon will be equally as challenging and finishing the race will give you something to brag about to your running partners.
The Half-Marathon will take in both the challenging Mountain Course as well as the Valley Course giving participants the full tour of the resort. After splitting off at the end of the Mountain Course the route heads down for nearly 1 mile into the gently rolling valley for 5-6km’s. You’ll want to recover your legs on this section as you now have to head back out of the Valley with one of the longest climbs of the day. Once you are out of the valley you will do a short loop through the village and then you’ll hear the energy of the finish line DJ and race announcer and you’re there!
Participants can register as a 2-person relay for the Half-Marathon as well.
