The Goose Relay & Ultra

The Goose Relay & Ultra
Date Sep 2017 (TBD)
Distance Ultra
Course Type Trail

Race Information

The Goose 50K ultra and relay run is a Victoria to Sooke race that can be done solo, or, in relay teams of five runners.

Each runner in the relay runs one of five stages. Teams provide their own transportation along the route, as well as support for their team members!

Course Information

The Relay starts on Harbour Road just west of the Johnson Street Bridge in Victoria and follows the Galloping Goose Regional Trail to Sooke Potholes Regional Park in Sooke. The trail follows an old railway easement through the outskirts of Victoria and through some spectacular west coast scenery. There are no steep hills on the trail and the surface is mostly hard packed gravel with some paved sections close to Victoria.

Runners completing to course solo follow the exact same route as the relay teams. Nice and easy! .... relatively speaking.
