2016 Calgary Road & Trail Race Series Guide

2016 Calgary Road & Trail Race Series Guide

Run Fact! Calgary was ranked the fifth most livable city in the world by Economist magazine’s Intelligence Unit (they’re smart, right?). So it’s no surprise that Calgary communities, parks and natural areas are connected by an extensive network of multi-use pathways, perfect for the local running community.

Calgary hosts an eclectic mix of race series, catering to both road and trail race enthusiasts. There’s also a cross country race series to provide a fresh challenge to local runners.

MEC Calgary Road Race Series

This race series has something for everyone. You can stick with the 5K distance at each event if that’s your jam, but you can choose from race multiple distances at every event, on up to the full marathon by the final race of the series.
