Hood To Coast Race Series

The Hood to Coast Series features two insanely popular team relays, and a series of eight running races through the year, running from late spring straight through to Thanksgiving. These road races are mostly around Portland with the exception of the Rogue Run which happens in Southern Oregon.

Number of runs in the series: 8 runs, 2 relay events

What are the races?

Team Relays

Total Distance if you run all the events: 65.55 km – 173.8km (40.96 miles to 108.62 miles). Not counting any relay legs!

How may guilt-free doughnuts do I get if I run the series?

The official doughnut count for this series lands somewhere between 8 and 20

Do you get anything cool if you complete the entire series?

There are currently no series completion bonuses (aside from becoming crazy fit with all that running!)


Terrapin Events

Terrapin Events hosts a mix of OCR and road race events through the year. Their obstacle/mud runs typically kick off the season, before working into more classic (and some themed) road races.

What are the races?

Mud run/OCR events

Total distance if you run all the events: 38 km - 115.5 km (23.75 miles - 72.19 miles). Not counting any relay legs or mud running.

How many guilt-free doughnuts do you earn for running all the events?


Feel free to eat 5 - 18 doughnuts depending on how much running you end up doing!

Do you get anything extra-cool for running the entire series?

There are currently no bonus awards for completing the entire series.

Oregon Half Marathon Series

This is a series of four Half Marathons held at various locations around Oregon, one for each season. The courses feature beautiful settings from wineries and golf courses to forested trails.

What are the races?

Total distance if you run each race in the series: 84.4 km (52.4 miles)

The series does offer a discounted entry package if you choose to run multiple events


Oregon Road Runners Club 10K Race Series

This 10k series open to both runners and walkers. A convivial low-key club atmosphere prevails, but just the same expect some serious competitors to show up. Series participation is capped at 350 so it's a good idea to register sooner than later. Of course, you can still run the invididual races even if you don't take part in the series.

ORRC 10K Race Series

Number of runs in the series: 7

What are the races?

Total distance if you run all the events: 70 km (43.4 miles)

How many tasty guilt-free donuts may I consume if I run the entire series?


You can knock back seven donuts of course, one per race. Okay, let's throw in a special bonus donut - head over to Blue Star Donuts and try the gourmet Blueberry Bourbon Basil donut!

Do you get anything cool for completing the entire series?

Participants earn points for participation in each event, placing in the top three overall (walk and run), and placing in their age groups. The true fun is attending the awards banquet for a great time with your fellow series participants.
