Calgary Runs You Might Like - December
Two great things about late season running; you get to wear holiday themed outfits and there’s usually hot chocolate at the finish line! Here are a few December runs in the Calgary area that you may want to keep your eye on.
Date: December 2, 2017
The annual 5K Santa Shuffle Fun Run & 1K Elf Walk brings families and friends together. This merry event helps The Salvation Army to assist families and individuals in need during the Christmas season and throughout the year. Pledges raised for the Santa Shuffle will support people in the community who may be struggling to make ends meet.
Date: December 8, 2017
The final Spruce Meadows run of the year will help you get in the holiday spirit! The Dashing Through the Glow race is a fun run for the entire family. Join other runners as they light up Spruce Meadows and run through the glow. After the race warm up with some hot chocolate, wine and enjoy some festive Christmas music.

Distance: 8k, 3k, and 1k kids race
The Calgary Roadrunners series of XC races take runners through parks in a variety of locations in Calgary and in Okotoks. This course is designed with winter weather in mind. The snow and cold weather will heighten the experience of running on natural surfaces through a wintery terrain and scenery. Enjoy hot soup, rolls and beverages at the finish line.

The Resolution Run is an annual, nationwide race hosted by the Running Room. Calgary's run starts out from the Eau Claire Market Running Room location. This fun run gives you the opportunity to start the year off right. New Year’s Eve runners, we salute you!
