You'll eat too much turkey and scoff too many mince pies... there's only one thing for it: get your first races of 2017 in the diary to compensate for all your delicious over-indulgence! What better way to start the new year than with a fun-filled run? Polar Dash will be happening on January 1, running along the snow-banks of the Mississippi River — and as the name suggests, it will be cold! Fortunate then, that there’s hot chocolate and beer waiting for all finishers! There’s a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and even a 1600m to choose from.

The holidays are over but the fun doesn’t stop! The Flurry Scurry 5K is a family-friendly fun run taking place on Lake Minnetonka in almost-guaranteed snowy conditions, with runners of all ages and abilities welcome.

 

Valentine's Day TC 5K

Distance: 5K

Twin Cities' oldest winter running event, this love-themed run is held near Lake Nokomis and perfect for your first 5K of the year! Runners can customise their bib with their name, or their relationship status if they're looking for a special running friend. And of course, there's a discount for couples. Ahhh!

Frozen Feet / Frozen Feet Night

Dates: February 11-12, 2017
Distance: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon

This awesome run offers up 5K, 10K and Half Marathon options through the the snowy trails of Maple Grove. The day time runs take place on Sunday February 12, or if you prefer a colder, darker experience, bring your headlamp the night before on February 11 as Frozen Feet hosts a night-time 5K and 10K in the same location!
