San Francisco Runs You Might Like - June
Here are a few San Francisco Bay Area runs you may enjoy racing this June.
Take your pick of several flat, fast road runs, or try the scenic Across the Bay 12k over the Golden Gate Bridge. You can also test your mettle on the hills and trails of the stunning bay area. Meanwhile, those intreped ultra runners can run through the night at the San Francisco One Day event.

San Francisco's DSE Runners club continues a great tradition with their Thursday evening Summer Race Series around Lake Merced. Starting June 7, there are twelve weekly runs over the paved 4.5 mile pedestrian path around the lake. Complete at least six and you're eligible for an award, and no doubt your race times will improve! Races start at 6:30 p.m.

This big, friendly running event starts in Sausalito, rolls over the Golden Gate Bridge and ends in San Francisco's Aquatic Park on the USATF certified 12k course. You can also choose the 5k, starting and finishing in San Francisco.

Welcome to the annual Pride Run 5k/10k in Golden Gate Park. The runs start and finish at the Polo Fields over a USATF certified course. Many participants take the opportunity to dress up for the event. Think Pink!

Test your limits on the 1.061 certified loop trail around the lagoon at Crissy Field, right on the S.F. Bay. The course starts from Miwok Meadows at China Camp State Park in San Rafael. An extensive trail network will greet you with views of Mt. Tam, San Pablo Bay, and San Francisco Bay as you traverse twisting single-track trails, climbing up and over the peak. Let it flow on the way up, and you can really fly on the way down!

This challenging half marathon rolls up and down the hills around beautiful Lake Chabot on dirt fire roads. Lucky for you there are five aid stations on the course to help you power over those inclines.

Come to beautiful Redwood Regional Park in Oakland's east bay hills. Enjoy spectacular views along the East Ridge and West Ridge trails and wind through tall redwoods on the Stream and Bridle trails. Five race distances to choose from!

Here's a race for those seasoned trail runners whose cup runneth over with grit & determination. Want to run 13.7 miles from Stinson Beach to Mill Valley and back? Yes? There's a little hill called Mt. Tam in the way, with total course elevation gain/loss of about 4500 feet.

Are you ready to tangle with a hilly 8.8-mile cross-country course in Oakland's Redwood Regional Park? Everybody has a shot to win this age and gender handicapped race! To be fair, we should mention that the course includes a 0.8-mile meat grinder of a hill known as the Woodmonster!
