This is a rare opportunity to run or walk on the main runway and taxiways at Chicago Executive Airport in Wheeling, Illinois. The course is USATF-certified and the 5K race is chip-timed. Come back to the airport after 5:00 pm and enjoy live music, food trucks, a beer tent, an aircraft static display and fireworks at the second annual joint venture between the Village of Wheeling, City of Prospect Heights and Chicago Executive Airport.

Looking for something to do while celebrating America's birthday? Join Elmhurst Running Club and over 1,000 runners for 4 miles on July 4th, starting on Prospect Ave. This USATF-certified race is fast and flat with just three short hills to navigate. The event attracts fast runners, with the race regularly won in under 20 minutes.

Since 2010, this unique event has attracted thousands of Chicago area runners and has raised more than $300,000 for the Les Turner ALS Foundation. The race starts at the iconic home plate of Comiskey Park and finishes with a lap around the warning track of the ballpark. It started as a grass roots event from Universal Sole's Lakeview store to bring people together for an easy fun run of 3 or 5 miles coupled with a cold beer and burgers from various Lakeview neighborhood bars. With the growth and popularity of the Burgers & Beer Fun Runs, folks demanded an official Burgers & Beer race! Well, here we are, the 6th annual Burgers & Beer 5k is officially here on July 17th, 2017!

College football fans, this is the event for you. The BTN Big 10K race kicks off the college football season as fans celebrate their favorite Big Ten team. Participants dress up in their favorite school colors and compete for their Big Ten teams in the 10K race and the 5K run/walk.
