This is some seriously beautiful cottage country running right here. The Blue Mountains are situated halfway between Collingwood and Meaford, Ontario, on the banks of the Georgian Bay, in "Apple Country." It's a mix of road and gravel path with police escorts that'll keep you and the motorists safe.

The STWM is Toronto's premiere running event through downtown Toronto. It's massive - you and 25,000 of your friends will run through this flat, fast and festive IAAF Gold Label Boston-qualifier race course. Definitely a must to add to your medal collection.

Toronto Monster Dash

Distance: 5k, 10k, Kid's one-mile fun run

A Halloween-themed race wouldn't be the same if it was held during the day, right? That's why the Toronto Monster Dash starts at dusk! Dress up, come to the Ontario Science Centre, and run or walk through the spooky course.

Trail Runs

MEC Toronto Trail Race FOUR

The Humber River Valley at Boyd Conservation Area is the host of this 7k and 14k trail race, just north of Toronto in Vaughan. Like all MEC races, Trail Race FOUR is inexpensive and gives runners an opportunity to race through some of the nicest conservation areas in and around Toronto. If you're looking to train with other people, MEC also offers run groups and programs to help you improve!

Trek or Treat

Date: October 13, 2017
Distance: 5k

If you want a spookier Halloween run than the Monster Dash, consider making your way out to Oakville to run through an actual cemetary. Of course it's not all that scary - kids can participate in the Spooky Mile with their parents before the 5k run begins, which includes a candy station midway through the mile.

Turkey Trot Trail Race

Horror Trail Race

5 Peaks Kortright Centre

Date: October 28, 2017
Distance: 1k & 3k kids races, 7k, 14k

The Five Peaks series is so popular - you gotta register early or you might risk not running at all! Trail runners love this series for the diverse courses, the quality of the races, and the sweet swag. The final Ontario race of the season happens at Kortright Centre on a 7km looped course. Short course runners complete a single loop, long course racers complete two for a 14km day!

Mad Dog Scramble

Mad Dog Scramble

Date: October 29, 2017
Distance: 8k

The Mad Dog Scramble is a trail race with a twist - the faster the runner, the further back in the starting line you're placed - meaning that the fastest runners might have to wait up to twenty minutes to start the run. It's a fun challenge at Sunnybrook Park and it sells out each year, so register early!
