Rangers Labor Day Race

 

Date: September 3, 2017
Distance: 5k

The Texas Rangers Labor Day race gives runners a chance to finish their race in the same spot the Rangers complete their home run trot on the field at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

All 5K participants complete the race on the field. Race course features the Arlington Entertainment District and a family-friendly 1K to start the day

Mavs Run This Town 5k

Date: September 7, 2017
Distance: 5k

Mavs Run This Town is an all-inclusive chip timed 5K race. Entry includes the run, access to the post-run party (snacks, beer, and food trucks), and a Mavs regular-season game ticket! T

Mavs Run This Town 5K benefits the Mavs Foundation, whose mission is to build a stronger community by empowering youth, women, and families in need through financial support, advocacy, and service. Proceeds from Mavs Run This Town 5K will be used to support the Mavs Foundation's grant making efforts to help organizations and individuals across our region.

Wicked Wine Run

 

Date: September 9, 2017
Distance: 5k, 1k walk

Race throughout the vineyards and trails of the beautiful Lost Oak Winery in Burleson, TX. The start time for the 5K Wicked Run begins at 5:45pm and the 1K Wicked Tasting Walk begins at 7:15pm. 5K participants are required to finish in one hour or less.

Top finishers for the 5K win Wicked Wine prizes and bragging rights to boot. Participants get a wicked race shirt and access to the wicked post-race party with great live music and the best area food trucks. In addition, 5K runners get finish line wine and 1K participants will enjoy 4 wine tastings on their course.

9/11 Heroes Run

Date: September 9, 2017
Distance: 5k, 1 mile walk/run

The 9/11 Heroes Run, a national 5K race series held annually by the Travis Manion Foundation, brings communities together to remember the sacrifices of the heroes of the September 11th attacks and wars since. The Travis Manion Foundation challenges veterans and gold star families to lead the "If Not Me, Then Who…" movement and inspire others to continue the service to community and country exemplified by the nation's fallen heroes.

This 5k or 1 mile walk/run is held annually on or around September 11th in multiple locations throughout the country. All ages are welcome to join and the proceeds from each event go towards local charities.

Social House 5K Foodie Run/Walk

 

Date: September 9, 2017
Distance: 5k

Join the the Social House for an urban 5k over the beautiful West 7th bridge and through the heart of West 7th. After the run sit on the patio and enjoy mimosas and a chicken and waffles brunch with all your friends!

Social House Fort Worth, is the location for this Foodie Run. Located in the urban West 7th district with local designer boutiques and restaurants. Social House offers craft drinks, over 100 beers on tap and food made from scratch to satisfy all your cravings.

Moonlight Madness Run

 

Date: September 16, 2017
Distance: 5k, 5k child, 15k

Rev your running engines! This 5k and 15k run will take place at the Texas Motor Speedway. The 15k will take place completely within the speedway! Runners will complete 6 laps on the 1 & 1/2 mile road next to the banked track. This is pure madness. 
After the madness run there is a party in the pits. The party will take place in a real NASCAR garage.

Tour des Fleurs Quarter & Half Marathons

 

Date: September 16, 2017
Distance: Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles), Half Marathon 

Run for the roses, the daffodils and irises at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden's annual 10.5K and 21K race. This is a chip timed race run on a certified course, and one of the loveliest ones in town!

Freedom Run 5K

The Dallas Association of Young Lawyers organizes the Freedom Run as an opportunity to unite and honor the heroes and victims of those tragic events of September 11, 2001. This is a family friendly event that raises money for the Dallas Assist the Officer Foundation.

Plano Balloon Festival Half Marathon & 5K

 

Date: September 23-24, 2017
Distance: 1k fun run, 5k, half marathon, relay

Here is a opportunity for a unique running adventure. Soaring hot air balloons show the way to an amazing day of running. Choose from 4 different races, the Half Marathon, Half Marathon Relay, 5K run/walk, 1K run/walk. Note that the half and 5K are run on different dates - check the website to confirm! If you are interested in running both 5k and Half Marathon, enter the Sky High Challenge. Includes a Bonus Medal!

Run in the Dark Fort Worth

 

Date: September 23, 2017
Distance: 5k, 1 Mile Fun Run

A true neighborhood run, this race takes runners around the local streets and sites of Bluestem Park at Alliance Town Center. USATF certified, the course is a great way to find your competitive feet, as either a beginner or more experienced runner. And for those who'd like less competition, there's a one mile fun run held before the 5K kicks off. 

There are age group awards for the 5K and a fun gift for the first 1,000 finishers of the one mile run. Teams can compete for the Community Cup. All proceeds go towards supporting Community Storehouse's mission of supporting the well-being and education of local children.
