Atlanta Runs You Might Like - October

Halloween is just around the corner! It is time to get out your costumes and running shoes to head out for some of these exciting runs in the Atlanta Area

Road Runs

Atlanta 10 Miler and 5K

Date: October 22, 2017
Distance: 10 Miles and 5k

The Atlanta 10 Miler and 5K has quickly become one of Atlanta's favorite running events. The race features an exciting course that starts and finishes inside Atlantic Station. The Atlanta 10 Milers is the featured second stop for Triple Peach participants and is a great final tune-up for the Atlanta Half Marathon on Thanksgiving Day.

Uptown Rhodes Race 5K

Date: October 28, 2017
Distance 5k

The annual Uptown Rhodes Race 5K is the perfect family friendly event to bring the community together. Hosted by The Georgia Trust, the race works to bring awareness to the work that the Trust does in reclaiming, restoring and revitalizing historic buildings. The race features a gently rolling scenic course through Ansley Park, one of Atlanta's most historic and beautiful neighborhoods. After the race, stick around for a huge post-race party on the lawn of Rhodes Hall featuring delicious food, refreshing drinks and great music.

Trail Runs

Sleepy Hollow Hourly Ultra

Date: October 28, 2017
Distance: 3, 6, 12, or 24 Hours

This is the final event in the Tortoise and the Hare Race Series! Run your best 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours on a flat 1.2 mile loop course in North Georgia! This event is set in the scenic Boling Park in the small town of Canton, GA. It's a cool, spooky October night...you never know what you may "see" while running.

Fun Runs

Atlanta Running of the Bulls

Date: October 7, 2017
Distance: 5k

This fun run takes its inspiration from the famous bull run in Pamplona, Spain but is modelled after the Big Easy Rollergirls' Running of the Bulls festival in New Orleans. Participants will run through the roughly one-mile course in Piedmont Park while Rollergirls chase them wearing their rolling skates, a pair of bull's horns, and carrying a wiffle bat to encourage all participants to keep on moving.

Superheroes vs Villains 

Date: October 7, 2017
Distance: 5k

The annual Superheroes vs Villains 5k run/walk is held in Marietta, GA to benefit Enduring Hearts, a charity organization supporting pediatric heart transplant research. Come out and dress up as your favorite superhero or villain. Prizes will be awarded for costumes and the best running times. This stroller and pet-friendly 5k is on a USTAF-certified Peachtree Road Race-qualifier paved street course.

The Bacon Run 5K

Date: October 14, 2017
Distance: 5k

The Tastiest all-you-can eat Bacon 5K Run/Walk is coming to Atlanta! There will be fists full of bacon as well as other bacon flavored treats from an assortment of vendors! At only 3.1 miles, everyone can do this event since you shouldn't have to work too hard for Bacon.

Fall Sunset Cinema 5K

Date: October 21, 2017
Distance: 5k

Come out for a relaxing evening of family-friendly fun for the whole family! Run a fast 5K through scenic Etowah River Park, then break out your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a movie under the sky in the great outdoors.
