Toronto Runs You Might Like - November

Now that the cold weather is finally here, it's time to layer up for your runs. Here are a few races that you may want to check out this November. Have a favourite late fall run? Let us know if it's not on the list!

Road Runs

REMEMBERrun

Date: Nov 4, 2017
Distance: 11k, 5k, 2.5k

An annual run to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for serving our country through the Armed Forces. Whether you're a reservist, enlisted, a family member, friend, or just someone who appreciates the hard work it takes - both physically and mentally - to put one's life at risk for the sake of freedom, this annual race in the Kitchener-Waterloo area is a great way to honour our soliders.

Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope

Date: Nov 4-5, 2017
Distance: 5k, 10k, half-marathon, marathon

One of the biggest road races outside of Toronto, the Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope is a Boston-qualifier race that starts in the east end of Hamilton at Confederation Park. This race frequently shows up on top ten race picks in Canada. Ready to cross it off your bucket list?

Shalom Village Hustle for Health

Date: Nov 12, 2017
Distance: 5k, 10k

The Shalom Village Hustle for Health is a fundraiser race that offers a mixed race course, including a trail portion that dips into the Princess Point area of Hamilton. If you're curious to learn more about Hamilton's many trails, this is a great race to gain more experience and supports a good cause!

Holly Jolly Fun Run

Date: Nov 19, 2017
Distance: 5k

Best way to kick off Chrismas season is this 5k run through the streets of downtown Toronto (practically all downhill, I might add) before the annual Santa Claus Parade. Wear your jingliest hat, your favourite mits, and don't forget to get your mug of hot cocoa at the finish line.

Santa 5k Hamilton

Date: Nov 19, 2017
Distance: 5k

Can't make it to the 6ix for the Holly Jolly Fun Run? Sign up for the Santa 5k in Hamilton. Your registration includes a full Santa Clause outfit, required to run the race. Never ran with hundreds of other Santas? You might enjoy it so much it becomes an annual tradition!

Trail Races

Angus Glen Fall Race Weekend

Date: Nov 4-5, 2017
Distance: Kids K, 5k, 10k, 10 miles

The Angus Glen Golf Club plays host to several trail races throughout the year. The fall races close the season with a variety of race options, including a Kid's 1k option. Fun for the whole family in Markham!

The Fat Ass Trail Run

Date: Nov 12, 2017
Distance: 5k, 8k, 10k, Half-marathon, Marathon, Ultra, Fun Run

If you're looking for a cheeky challenge, look no further than the Fat Ass Trail Run. There's many options for both experienced and new-to-trail runners and even walkers. The fun is in the challenge of completing the race, not how fast you do it. Takes the pressure off!
