Milwaukee Runs You Might Like - October
October is here and that means the leaves are turning, the temperatures cooling, and pumpkins are everywhere! It's also the perfect time to get out for a run. Here are some fun and exciting runs in the Milwaukee area this October.

The Panther Prowl 5K is the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Alumni Association's annual fundraising event to bring in money for UWM scholarships. Whether you are an alumni, current student or just a friend of the university, sign up and run the Panther Prowl!
Date: October 14-15, 2017
Distance: 1 Mile, 5k, 10k, Half, & Full Marathon
Join the running festivities during an amazing weekend event. With races spanning 1 mile to Full marathon, this Milwaukee event has something for everyone. Don't forget to join the Pre-Party and Fitness Expo or celebrate your accomplishment at the 27th Mile Post-Race Party where you will find Live Music, Food, Giveaways, a Beer Mile Challenge, and much, much more!

Distance: 50 mile or Relay
The Fall 50 is designed to be a daylong running adventure set against the colorful backdrop of Door County, Wisconsin during peak Fall colors. Participants may compete as members of a team of 2-5 runners or as a solo ultra-marathoner. After the race join your fellow competitors and supporters in the party tent with a DJ, beer, soda, pizza, and fun.

"We’re gonna do the mash…the Monster Mash! C’mon, it’s gonna be a graveyard smash!" Thats the slogan of this fun event. Come dressed up in your best Halloween costume for The Lakefront Discovery 15k event. This end of October event is one part road race and one part costume party! Don't worry there is also a 5-mile route for those wanting to go a little shorter.

Kick off the Winter Run Series with a bang! This flat and fast race course with almost no elevation gain makes for a perfect race to set a new personal best. This race also brings the Halloween spirit, so don't worry if you're looking for costumes and fun, this is an event for you too.

Grab a red Tutu and come out for a great cause. This 5k run on the campus of UW Madison serves to draw attention to helping prevent deaths from sudden cardiac arrests. All proceeds will go towards offering free monthly CPR and AED education in the Madison area.
