2017 Chicago Turkey Trot Guide

Chicago Turkey Trot Guide

Turkey Trots have become an essential part of Thanksgiving tradition. The holiday best known for food comas, family and football now includes a morning Turkey Trot in preparation for the 5000 calories headed your way. Thanksgiving has become the largest running event of the year as participants flock, no pun intended, to events across the country.

A Turkey Trot is typically a festive race on the shorter side — 5 to 10 km — held on Thanksgiving morning. The races are often tied to fundraisers or food drives, may include costumes and almost always include a T-shirt with a trotting turkey.

Listed below are a selection of Turkey Trots happening in the Chicago area.
