Turkey Trots have become an essential part of Thanksgiving tradition. The holiday best known for food comas, family and football now includes a morning Turkey Trot in preparation for the 5000 calories headed your way. Village of Lincolnwood Turkey Trot

Chicago Edison Park Turkey Trot

The Edison Park Turkey Trot has become a Thanksgiving tradition at Edison Park and is expecting 5500 runners! The race features a 5k as well as a Gobble Gallop for the kids. Every year they raise money for various charities, and this year they have chosen three charities - Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, Ignite the Spirit, and Salute, Inc.

Grove Express 5K

The Grove Express 5K winds its way through the heart of downtown Downers Grove on a USA Track and Field certified course. The Thanksgiving Day Run/Walk has been a staple in the Downers Grove community for 20 years and continues on the mission of investing proceeds in education, youth programs, and scholarships in the community.
The Fox and the Turkey

The Fox River Trail Runners are proud to announce The Fox and Turkey Four Mile and One Mile Youth Race will resume as an in-person Fox Valley Thanksgiving Day tradition. The races will start and finish near charming downtown Batavia right next to the Fox River. $5 from each 4-mile race registration is donated to the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry.

Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot

The Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot is an annual 5K fun run in Elmhurst (outside of Chciago) on Thanksgiving. Thousands of runners come to help eradicate hunger in DuPage county. Some dress up in fun costumes, some just walk to support the cause, but nothing brings out the town, as well as out of towners, like the Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot.
