Houston Runs You Might Like - November

Road Runs

Texas 10 Katy

Date: November 5, 2017
Distance: 10-mile, 5 mile, Kids Run

Texas 10 Katy has one of the fastest, flattest courses in the south. The City of Katy is surrounded by the major metropolitan of Houston and is along the energy corridor. The 5-mile loop course will traverse through the streets of Katy. The 10-Mile race is the marquee distance of the Texas 10 Series.

Walk by Faith 5k

Date: November 12, 2017
Distance: 5k and Kids Run

Runners, walkers and anyone looking for an active good time, head out for the Walk by Faith 5k to raise money to fight childhood cancer. This annual event is a fun-filled day, complete with great food, awesome kid’s zone, music & more!

Cypress Half Marathon

Date: November 13, 2017
Distance: Half Marathon and 5k

The Cypress Half Marathon is the fall event in the Bayou City Half Marathon Series. With a fast and flat loop that starts and finishes at Cy Wood High School, this is the perfect race to put all that summer training to use. A 5k option is also available to those looking for a shorter faster run.

La Porte By the Bay Half Marathon

Date: November 19, 2017
Distance: Half Marathon

Race across the Fred Hartman Bridge! This challenging and fun Half Marathon is the final leg of the Texas Bridge Series. Begin the day at Sylvan Beach Park and head towards the bridge as you marvel at this impressive structure, then enjoy the views from on top as you cross over the bridge twice before finishing in downtown La Porte.

Houston Turkey Trot

Date: November 23, 2017
Distance: 10k, 5k, Fun Run

You’ll have to get up early this Thanksgiving if you want to participate in the second largest footrace in the city. Bring your family and friends together and join this fun and healthy Thanksgiving tradition that everyone loves. Along with the 10k event, there is also a 5k and Kid's 1k. You'll feel great running in this race to support Neighborhood Centers.

Katy YMCA Turkey Dash

Date: November 23, 2017
Distance: 10k, 5k, Fun Run

The Katy YMCA Turkey Dash is all about tradition, from the date of the races, to the family friendly environment! Join the YMCA for a 5k or 10k race, a kids 1-mile fun run or the family oriented 1-mile walk/run. Post-race activities include a kids fun zone, games and food.

GE Run Thru the Woods

Date: November 23, 2017
Distance: 5k, 8k, Fun Run

A local Thanksgiving morning tradition, the GE YMCA Run Thru the Woods, has supported local non-profits with the goal of strengthening The Woodlands, Spring and Oak Ridge communities. This event brings thousands of community members together for entertainment and a run/walk designed for all ages.

HMSA Classical 25k

Date: November 26, 2017
Distance: 25k, 10-mile, and 5k

With a variety of unique distances this event offers a fun and challenging road race. Cruise the streets of Houston as you loop around Memorial Drive. Then remember to stay afterwards for a fun post-race party in Jones Plaza.

Fun Runs and Obstacle Course Runs

Zombie Charge

Date: November 4, 2017
Distance: 5k Mud Run

The Zombie Charge is a 5K mud run with obstacles. The most dangerous obstacles are the zombies roaming along the course. Sign up as a zombie or a runner. If you survive, join the safe zone festival and party as you hear live music, visit with vendors, eat good food, enjoy a beverage or take selfies with well trained zombies.
