The Thanksgiving morning Turkey Trot is a running community tradition!

It's a great way to start off this wonderful holiday. Turkey Trails

The annual Turkey Trails race is a Thanksgiving-themed run that is perfect for the whole family. The fun includes great swag (designer shirt, custom medal), chip-timing, live results, awards, and plenty of fun activities. This run is part of the local Bodies Race Series. BRC events are known for their family friendly atmosphere and swag. They encourage runners of all fitness levels to try out their events.

ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot

This popular Thanksgiving Day race draws thousands of participants to downtown Austin for a pre-turkey dinner run. There is a 5 mile family run and a 1 mile walk in the streets around Butler Park. For a fun and inviting atmosphere there are separate start times for timed, untimed and the 1 mile walk. This event supports Caritas of Austin whose mission is to help people in poverty by serving meals, finding employment and providing housing to those less fortunate.

Hill Country Turkey Trot

The Hill Country Turkey Trot takes place on the Hills of Lakeway Golf Course cart path or adjacent grass. Join almost 2,000 participants consisting of competitive runners, joggers, walkers, and stroller pushers... leashed dogs are also welcome! The annual 5K Turkey Trot and 1-mile Puffin' for Stuffin' on Thanksgiving morning raise funds for Lake Travis schools!

Buda Turkey Trot

The Buda Turkey Trot is a 5K run/walk through the heart of the great city of Buda, TX! This event aims to start a new family and community tradition to celebrate Thanksgiving and give back to the community around them. Kids 10 and under are FREE and youth and seniors have special pricing so bring the whole family and invite friends to celebrate Thanksgiving! Proceeds benefit the Hays County Food Bank.

Round Rock Turkey Trot

Put your turkey in the oven and join the Round Rock community for this family-friendly Thanksgiving morning run. Challenge your family, friends, and co-workers to come out and run on the roads and trails through the scenic and historic Old Settlers Park. The event features an untimed 5 mile and 2 mile run/walk on paved paths. After the race spend some time at the post-race party with sponsor booths, refreshments, prizes, and giveaways. Proceeds will benefit the Backpack Coilotion, Round Rock Serving Center, and Operation Blue Santa.

Pfeathered Pfun Run

The Pfeathered Pfun Run has grown in popularity since it started in 2014. The Thanksgiving Day run supports local food pantries and happens on a closed-to-traffic trail around Lake Pflugerville, Pflugerville, Texas. Celebrate your finish with medals, t-shirts, and lots of pumped-up cheering!

Cedar Park Turkey Day 5K

Family fun for all with a range of distances for all ages and abilities. Don't miss the post-race festivities and race swag! This is a Family Fun event close to your home and the right distance for you and your family to come out have a great time and make it home in time for Turkey.  The 5K course has some moderate hills and some flat portions. The 'Shake A Leg  Mile' and Kids Mile takes place inside the stadium Loop Road and is free of vehicles.  The major intersections are handled by Cedar Park Police to give runners a clear running lane for the whole course.

Carlson Law Firm's Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot
