Run for Little Ones is a non-profit organization that raises money for the neuro-critical care unit at the Alberta Children's Hospital. Neuro-critical care (NCC) is a rapidly emerging subspecialty of medicine and research at the forefront of bringing effective new therapies to patients with life-threatening brain diseases. NCC services are provided at the point when a patient either requires life-saving intervention or has become dependent on life-saving technologies. This includes, but is not limited to, children with brain trauma, massive stroke, bleeding in and around the brain, brain tumours, severe seizures, nerve and muscle diseases and spinal cord disorders.
