The Freedom Run® 5K was first organized by the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL) immediately following 9/11 to raise money for the Dallas Assist the Officer Foundation (ATO) in honor of Dallas’ first responders and police officers. The Freedom Run® has been held every September since 2001 and has raised OVER $400,000 for ATO thanks to the continued support of our generous sponsors and volunteers. The event offers a timed 5K and an untimed 1-mile run/walk.
